Tonttu is a series of sculptural wall pieces made entirely from hand-felted natural wool. Earth-toned fibers — undyed and in their original hues — are layered and hand-felted to build soft geometric compositions. Each artwork sits on wool felt and is framed for a clean, elevated presentation.
The pieces balance structure and softness: sharp shapes formed from a material known for warmth, comfort, and tactility. Variations in texture — from smooth felted planes to curly locks — bring depth and dimension while keeping the palette calm and neutral.
Named Tonttu — inspired by the Finnish folklore spirit of protection and home. These artworks honor that idea: wool forms arranged like small guardians of space, bringing warmth and grounding energy to the room.
